Day 25 - One Missed Call (2003) AKA Chakushin Ari

Dave Says -

I will stress this point- ORIGINAL JAPANESE VERSION. In the wake of The Ring’s success, another Japanese original that was remade, Hollywood decided that remaking a lot of J-horror was the new trend and kept failing. This was no exception. In 2008, they made a US version. It was ok but I believe this version is far more superior. The original was a trilogy and the US version tried incorporating parts of the sequels in the first movie. Anyway, a little about this one. You get a missed a call and listen to the message. It’s from you saying the final words you speak before you die.

Melanie Says - 

Wow Dave you really put me to work trying to find this one. Hopefully I have the right details! I have found that a lot of the remakes of Japanese based original horror end up falling short. Usually the original is the way to go.  This looks like one I would enjoy - Greg is not so keen on "reading" movies though!
