We love movie lists - so please welcome guest writer Jennifer Bollnow as she takes us through her picks for 31 days of Christmas movies. A new movie feature each day! 
An Intro from Jennifer - Every year there are more and more Christmas movies released.  This year we have over 150 and more are announced each week.  I have selected 31 of this year's new releases that I am excited for this year.  There are a wide variety of movies that have something for everyone.  
So warm up the cocoa, get under a cozy blanket, grab a Christmas Cookie, and enjoy!

Day 16 - Genie (2023)

Jennifer Says - 
When Bernard’s life is falling apart he comes across a magic jewelry box and a genie appears.  He uses his wishes to try to get his life back.  

Melissa McCarthy will make a fun and delightful genie.  You may know McCarthy from Mike & Molly, Bridesmaids or the new live action Little Mermaid.  Bernard is played by Paapa Essiedu who is also from I May Destroy, You Gangs of London and Men.  Alan Cumming and Luis Guzman also appear in this fun flick.

From the trailer this looks like it will be a delightful warm hearted movie.  It made my list because of the fun Melissa McCarthy and reminds me of Elf in the way that McCarthy is totally lost in today's world after being stuck in a box for centuries.
