I recently saw a movie that will stick in my head forever. No, it’s not fictional. Oh no, it’s about something that actually happened, the Holocaust.
Honestly in my opinion it’s a movie everyone should at least watch once. "Schindler’s List" is a movie I’d heard of before but never watched. I’d also heard of the actual man, but never the story behind him and how he ended up saving 1300 Jews from execution during that horrible point in our history.
This movie is about three and a half hours long, but once you watch you’ll understand why. At first I couldn’t even think about watching, but in the end I did. Yes, I cried and cried but it also made me think about how even in bad times there can be good people and Schindler was one of those!
Someone who gave up all the money they had to save people they didn’t even know. That’s unimaginable. Well at least to some but not to him. He understood that no matter how different someone is from you, their lives are still important. He was a German Nazi. Not so great in the beginning but as the movie goes on, you’ll see how his eyes were opened and that he may have learned the greatest thing of all. His sacrifice also ended up saving generations of Jewish families and at the end of the movie, you’ll get to see exactly what I mean by that.
With all the hate in the world even now – this is something that should never be forgotten.
