One Season Wonders! Everyone has one season wonders we loved and poured our heart and soul into before the network came along and crushed our hopes and dreams after the first season. Or, in some cases, after only a few episodes. These are some of the shows we liked the most that got the axe before they had time to bloom.

"Freakylinks" (2000-2001) Fox got their practice cancelling shows early with this one. Ethan Embry led a group of people running a website doing paranormal investigations. This came out when handheld footage like "Blair Witch" was new and considered the next big thing until people got sick of it. ​

"Dead Last" (2001) A rock band trio can see ghosts with the help of an amulet and help them with any unresolved issues so they can pass on. The WB network screwed this show. They filmed 13 episodes but it got cancelled after only airing 6 of them. Other markets aired the entire run. ​

​ "Dark Skies" (1996-1997) Set in the 1960's, the producers had a 5 year plan to take this series up to 2001. It was cut about 4 years short by NBC. Aliens are everywhere and influencing society and behind some of the biggest events in history. Yeah, its a bit of a stretch but it was done very well. Shout Factory released Season 1 DVDs in 2001.

 "Birds of Prey" (2002-2003) Another WB casualty. Huntress is the daughter of Batman and Catwoman and is protecting New Gotham from the baddies. Somebody has to do it. Apparently Gotham Police are useless. They always need somebody else around. Rachel Skarsten appears, who went on to another Bat-series, "Batwoman". Another note is Ashley Scott revived her role as Huntress for the DC Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths". DVDs were released with a different theme song since they couldn't get the rights to "I'd Start a Revolution" by Aimee Allen. ​

"Powerless" (2017) Another show left with unaired episodes. NBC brought one episode back that Adam West made a guest appearance in because he died. Guess they thought it would bring in ratings. Set in a superhero world but not focusing on the heroes themselves. Excellent sitcom with Alan Tudyk! Who doesn't love him? That's the only reason you need to watch! Why didn't you? ​

Trying not to ramble on too much. So a few brief honorable mentions to see if you remember them. "Snoops" (1999, ABC, Gina Gershon. not to be confused with the 1989 Tim Reid sitcom), "Tarzan" (2003, WB), "Nightmare Cafe" (1992, NBC), "Misfits of Science" (1985-1986, NBC)
