This movie started out as a game, a game I never really understood how to play and yes I’m talking about Clue. I think the most fun thing about this was that when it later made into a movie it had several different endings! This meant you could go to different theaters and get different endings, but the DVD has them them all.
This movie starts off in a cliché fashion -Strangers summoned to a house on a rainy, stormy night, having been called there by the owner of the house, who ends up being the first victim!
Throughout the night others start to die including the cook. The guests break off into pairs,(because we all know being alone would mean you were next), and they start to look around the house and by the end of the night, the butler figures it out! (One of Tim Curry’s fabulous roles!
Jennifer Rhodes Cleere met Melanie back when True Blood was popular and they have been friends ever since. Thanks Jenn! I love Clue - the movie and so does Greg. It is definitely a favorite in this house. I also really liked the board game but did you know back in England it is called Cluedo? Exactly the same idea and I totally get what you mean about not knowing how to play. Emily has a Supernatural Clue Game (She actually has 2 - 1 to play and 1 sealed as a collectors item), and one Christmas we tried to teach my parents to play. It was a nightmare. My mum basically made up her own rules and we vowed never to bring the game out to play with her again!
Cluedo was so popular when I was younger that there was even a TV show! Yes they had a game show where celebrities played the characters AND the guessing teams were other celebrities. I have included a link to the Season 3 Trailer (just because Tom Baker). The actors changed each season and for the English fans out there maybe you remember the Leslie Grantham drama!
