Order of the Minus by PROJECT RENEGADE- Album Review

Sometimes, you get introduced to a band that you kick yourself for not knowing before.
​From the very first riff, I knew that I was a fan!

Today I am thrilled to introduce you all to a new band that Angels Pr Music Promotion sent to us for review!
Project Renegade is totally the kind of music that I love to listen to, with a kickass female vocalist that reminds me of early early Flyleaf, Evanescence and Halestorm and has quickly become a play on repeat album for me!
I mean, look at that promo pic! I totally want a signed picture for my music wall! 

Project Renegade is a four-member metal band from Athens, Greece, founded by Marianna (vocals) and Ody (drums) and joined after by Nick K. (guitars) and Jay (bass). Project Renegade's sound derives from an alternative, heavy and groovy background blended with electronic and ambient elements. After releasing their debut EP "Cerebra" to high international critical acclaim, the band is set to release its first full-length album "Order of the Minus". The band is performing live in Greece and Europe, with participations in renowned festivals like Danube Rock Festival (RO), Over the Wall Festival (GR), Iron Queens Festival (RO), Voices of the Succubi 2018 having also made a debut performance at Le Cercle Club (BE). On April 2019, (MT) and the FEMME-Female Metal Event 2018 (NL), Ladies of Metal Festival (GR) they shared the stage of the famous Greek indoor venue “Piraeus Academy 117” with Bullet For My Valentine as special guest and participated afterwards at Milady Metal Festival (IT) with Mayan and Rock'n'Iasi (RO) with Harakiri for the Sky. On September 20th, 2020 Project Renegade played as special guest with Evanescence at Kiev, Ukraine.

​One of my fave things is finding bands from all corners of the world and I was thrilled to spend some time listening to Order of the Minus. The album came out in 2019 and is a hidden gem that any fans of female fronted bands should listen to. Had I known about Marianna before myself and Dave wrote our female fronted bands article, I so would have included her, because her vocal range and presence in a music video is formidable. 

I really have a soft spot for drummers, and I think Ody is up there with some of my all time fave drummers, like Grohl and Hawkins, Jay Weinberg from Slipknot, and Jon Otto of Limp Bizkit. 

​The song Liber8 gives me Evanescence Going Under vibes.
I mean the lead up to the vocals brought me right back to my teens and I loved it.

And the band has some excellent music videos, ones I think could have been inspired by early Linkin Park, Evanesence and even some Slipknot...

Order of the Minus is an album filled with exceptional guitar riffs, heart pounding drums and goosebump worthy vocals.
​ Project Renegade is a must for all fans of rock music,
​and those who cannot say no to a epic female lead band.

Seriously, this was hard to narrow down because Order of the Minus is one of those rare albums that you never have to skip a track.
