We love movie lists - so please welcome guest writer Jennifer Bollnow as she takes us through her picks for 31 days of Christmas movies. A new movie feature each day!
An Intro from Jennifer - Every year there are more and more Christmas movies released.  This year we have over 150 and more are announced each week.  I have selected 31 of this year's new releases that I am excited for this year.  There are a wide variety of movies that have something for everyone.
So warm up the cocoa, get under a cozy blanket, grab a Christmas Cookie, and enjoy!
Merry Christmas

Day 31 - Favorite Christmas Movies from Christmases Past

Jennifer Says -
For the final day  I thought I would share some of My Favorite Christmas Movies from Christmases Past (You may not have heard of).

Christmas in Connecticut (1945)

Christmas in Connecticut (1945) -Barbara Stanwyck and Dennis Morgan

A food writer who has lied about being the perfect housewife must try to cover her deception when her boss and a returning war hero invite themselves to her home for a traditional family Christmas.
Love this romantic comedy and has become an annual rewatch.

Currently, you can find it on MAX.

The Man Who Came to Dinner (1941)

The Man Who Came to Dinner (1941)-Bette Davis, Monty Wooley, and Richard Travis

An acerbic critic wreaks havoc when a hip injury forces him to move in with a Midwestern family.
This fun holiday movie with the worst holiday houseguest ever.  It is also a cute story of love and friendship.

You can find this on MAX.

The Christmas Gift (1986)

The Christmas Gift(1986) -John Denver and Jan Kaczmarek
A widowed New York City architect and his young daughter take a Christmas vacation and end up in a small mystical town in Colorado where everyone believes in Santa Claus.
This sweet romantic movie takes place in a town where everyone writes letters to Santa.
This was a favorite of my Grandma and mom.  Another one I watch every year.  I have been to the town of Georgetown, Colorado where it takes place.

The Christmas Gift is now on Tubi.

A Bride for Christmas (2012)

A Bride for Christmas (2012)-Arielle Kebbel and Andrew W. Walker

A single man tries to win a bet by getting a woman recovering from a broken engagement to marry him by Christmas.

Cute Rom-Com with a runaway bride who meets a man trying to prove himself to his friends.

This movie is on Hallmark and Peacock

The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017)

The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017) -Dan Stevens, Christopher Plummer,  and Jonathan Price

The journey that led to Charles Dickens’ creation of "A Christmas Carol," a timeless tale that would redefine Christmas.
I love A Christmas Carol and this is a touching tribute to Charles Dickens and a look into his life. You will see familiar faces from Doctor Who (including Simon Callow who played Charles Dickens in an episode).

This movie can be streamed on Prime.

12 Dates of Christmas (2011)

12 Dates of Christmas (2011)-Amy Smart and Mark-Paul Gosselaar

A story that follows Kate, a young woman who after a horrible blind date on Christmas Eve, wakes up to find she is re-living that same day and date all over again.
Rom-com with a heart.  Look for all the 12 days of Christmas references.

This is available on Paramount+, Prime Video and Freeform.

A Princess for Christmas (2011)

A Princess for Christmas (2011)-Katie McGrath, Sam Heughan and Roger Moore

At the invitation of an estranged relative, a young woman travels with her niece and nephew to a castle in Europe for Christmas, where she unwittingly falls for a dashing Prince.
I love this cute romantic tale.  I love Heughan and McGrath.  This is an annual rewatch.

You can watch it on Freevee or Peacock.

Surviving Christmas (2004)

Surviving Christmas (2004)-Ben Affleck, Christina Applegate, James Gandolfini, and Catherine O’Hara

A lonely, obnoxious young millionaire pays a family to spend Christmas with him.
This is a hilarious Christmas movie some will have you cringing with secondhand embarrassment but will have you laughing out loud.

This is streaming on Prime

Holiday in the Wild (2019)

Holiday in the Wild (2019) - Rob Lowe and Kristen Davis

Jilted by her husband on the eve of embarking on an African safari, a woman travels to the continent solo and meets an elephant conservationist.
This movie combines my love of elephants and Christmas Movies

You can find it on Netflix.

Snowed-Inn Christmas (2017)

Snowed-Inn Christmas(2017)-Bethany Joy Lenz and Andrew W. Walker

Two rival journalists get stuck together at an inn during the holidays.
The setting for this movie is Santa Claus, Indiana which is an actual town in Indiana that I have been to (and had to sing a song about it in elementary school Christmas Program)  but this story is cute and has a bit of a mystery to it.

You can find it on Freeve, Prime, or Youtube.
