 Welcome to the sign up post for the 2024 Melanie's Muses Annual Scavenger Hunt!
Please Read The Instructions Carefully! The 2024 Scavenger Hunt sign up is open from now until 11:59pm ET Saturday August 31st 2024. In order to have your participation counted YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE FORM HERE! Then just leave a comment on this post letting us know you want to play (so that we can double check that we got your entry form!) Instructions and welcome packs will be mailed out at the beginning of September. The official hunt will begin at 12.01am ET October 1st 2024 and will run until 11.59pm October 31st 2024 The Winner / Winners will be announced during our Live Special Event November 3rd 2024 This year there will be ONE HUNT but some tasks will have separate options designated as TRAD or AT HOME. These will have different point values depending on the task requirements! TRAD OPTIONS - This will be going out and finding things - tasks that require leaving the house etc. AT HOME OPTIONS - In order to allow more people to take part - due to some parts of the world still having Covid issues - we are once again adapting a strategy that was used during the huge GISH hunt where most of the tasks can be done without leaving your house - using supplies that you have. (Note we say MOST because we can't ensure everyone will have 100% of the things needed - but we have tried to make it as convenient as possible with creativity being the key ingredient) THERE WILL BE ONLY BE ONE HUNT WINNER (or winning team)! You can mix and match the tasks from the lists - whatever allows you to get the most done! As with all of our Scavenger Hunts we award creativity within the hunt. There will be BONUS prizes available for "Creative" entries. We are not limiting that or assigning a certain number. ************* We are hoping to have as many Musers playing as possible BUT we are limiting it to ONE official entrant per household. (If you are pairing up (Housemates), or entering as a family you CAN opt to have a team name on your badge (EG THE NEWTONS), but you will ONLY GET ONE BADGE and that badge must be used in every task! You can also opt to play as a team IF YOU LIVE CLOSELY BUT ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST BE PRESENT TO TAKE THE TEAM PICTURE. (Again -you will ONLY GET ONE BADGE and that badge must be used in every task!) Please note children under 18 and pets CANNOT be used to complete the main tasks. (More instructions on the official rules later). IF you know someone that is not a Muser that would like to play WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THEM!!! You can invite them BUT only people who officially sign up before the deadline will be eligible for prize entries.
