Well this holiday movie sort of explores that. But don’t worry I promise it’s not sad. "Last Holiday" has to be one of my favorite Christmas movies and Queen Latifah in it is phenomenal. This story about an ordinary woman finding out she has only a few weeks to live is one not to be missed. Deciding she’s had enough of not speaking up or just enjoying life, she quits her job and goes on the Christmas vacation of her dreams. As she steps out of her shell, not only does she realize she’s changing her life for the better, but maybe the lives of those around her as well. Trust me once you see this movie, it will definitely be added to your holiday must watch list. Melanie -I actually had this one in my 25 Magical Movies a few years back. Now before you think I have lost my mind and posted a tear-jerker I can assure you that won't ever happen! I don't want to watch sad movies in my Christmas line up and would never suggest one for anyone else. I will admit, I have avoided this movie ever since I first saw the trailer. Diagnosed with a terminal illness right around Christmas, for me there was NO way that was going to have a happy ending, but I was wrong! (And I don't count a "she did everything she wanted to before she died as happy either")! Em has been nagging and nagging me to watch this movie, literally for years, and eventually she had to promise me it would NOT make me cry, which I was dubious about, BUT IT DIDN'T! This movie is GREAT! Don't let the title put you off, and the trailer shows some great clips, but let me assure you THERE WERE NO TEARS!!
