Popeye the Sailor Man is a fictional cartoon character created by Elzie Crisler. The character first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929, and Popeye became the strip's title in later years. The character has also appeared in theatrical and television animated cartoons but what I want to talk about now is the movie, which actually was a musical version of Popeye. Popeye actually ends up moving to a little sea side town where he meets Olive Oyl. In the comics or cartoons she was his girlfriend who he actually took from Bluto. This movie though shows everything before that, like them actually meeting. A bit a prequel, if you will. So sit back, enjoy, and watch how this all plays out. I’m strong to the finish because I eats me spinach, I’m Popeye the sailor man, toot toot!
