Jenn - Jennifer Rhodes met Melanie back when True Blood was popular and they have been friends ever since. She loves TV (especially things that make you smile), Doctor Who, Finding new shows, and regularly provides awesome fandom items for Muser Giveaways. Jennifer is now a proud member of the VIPers - the Melanie's Muses Spotlight Feature Team!Characters in shows or movies. We either hate them or love 'em and this character I want to shine a light on is one that I absolutely adore to the moon and back, almost as much as I do Harley Quinn and that’s saying something. Wednesday Addams is just one that if you don’t like then there must be something wrong with you because she has it all. Sometimes I wish I could be like her, not in the kooky way but just how she’s not afraid of anything and honestly she could care less what others think. She also stands up for what she believes in, not backing down, especially in the new Netflix series "Wednesday". I was a little skeptical about Jenna Ortega taking over the role of this iconic character because if I’m being honest no one does it like Christina Ricci, but boy Jenna proved me wrong and I’m glad that she did. I’m also glad I watched this series even though at first I wasn’t too sure. But the cast won me over, though I may still need a little convincing about Gomez. If you adore the character of Wednesday like I do, then this show is not to be missed because my girl finally gets the spotlight that she’s always deserved. Dave - Dave Christy loves horror, music, documentaries and more. He is also the co-runner of several fan based groups including Morningstars (THE Lucifer fan group also run by Melanie), and now is a member of the VIPers Spotlight Lounge team for Melanie's Muses. Other than "In The Spotlight" Features -check out his "31 Days Of Halloween Movies"I've been an "Addams Family" fan since my childhood, watching the syndicated 1960's series. So I was interested when I first heard about the new Netflix series although I wasn't exactly sure what they'd do with it. The first season is only 8 episodes, around 45 minutes each so you can get through it pretty quick on a day off. Sprinkling in a few callbacks, its sure to bring a smile to a fans face. But some aspects of the story invent new sides to Wednesday. Not really a spoiler since its only about a minute into the series premiere, but Wednesday has a vision. She's never had visions before and the series relies on them heavily. That being said, thats one of the very few gripes I have with the series. A few cliches thrown in and a bit of forced "dark" dialogue from Gomez aside, it was a well rounded story and a bit of a mystery as well. Lots of evidence and clues pointing at essentially the entire cast and Wednesday has to narrow it all down. If we learn anything, the cops in these towns don't really know alot and quick to find other culprits even with no evidence. So if you want to enter the world of "Wednesday", all you have to do is snap your fingers twice. Melanie - Just wanted to add that having watched the trailer I was very much on the fence about whether or not I was going to watch it. But now it has been added to my "to Watch List".
