If you’ve heard this catchy tune then I’m sure you’ve heard of the the ”Aristocats” movie from Disney. If not you should check it out, it’s like “Lady and the Tramp” almost but with just cats. A lady has a mother cat and kittens, but since she’s rich these cats get stolen. Everyone is after money these days it seems. Anyways, the guys that do the job are idiots and luckily the cats get away. Yes, it’s an animated movie so the cats talk but like in true fashion, the humans know nothing about that. Trying to get home they meet a singing ally cat who helps them do just that, and maybe a romance ensues, maybe. Do these cats get home? Well I’m sure you’ve seen this movie, especially if you have kids, but if you haven’t you’ll definitely have to go find out for yourself. This is just a fun all around family movie and the tunes are pretty catchy as well. She loves TV (especially things that make you smile), Doctor Who, Finding new shows, and regularly provides awesome fandom items for Muser Giveaways. Jennifer is now a proud member of the VIPers - the Melanie's Muses Spotlight Feature Team!I’m not usually the Hallmark movie type girl, well unless you give me a prince and a ordinary girl. I know its an overdone trope but I enjoy those. This trilogy definitely has nothing to do with princes, or even royalty for that matter. This "Wedding Veil" trilogy caught my eye from the very beginning. I mean the story is just beautiful and these three friends are definitely friendship goals. Three friends that love antiques and go antiquing together whenever possible find a veil, a magic veil that supposedly whoever has it will find true love. Cheesy right but it works and after I watched the first movie I couldn’t wait for the others. Bugging Mels I eventually got her to watch and she enjoyed them as well. And yes through the three movies you also find out the history behind the veil. If you love hallmark movies, and haven’t seen these then you definitely should check them out, because these are not too be missed. Melanie - I think most people know by now that I do love me a Hallmark movie but I definitely tend to watch them a lot more at Christmas because they make me happy. The biggest problem for me is that Hallmark doesn't have the new movies on demand so you have to try and catch them live (if like me you don't have a DVR) and so Jenn had to keep reminding me when they were on and sometimes the timing didn't work out. All that aside when I DID watch them I was thrilled. I have to say the second one is definitely my favorite although all 3 give you the full story of the veil. Obviously as Hallmark movies you can pretty much figure out the basic plot from the beginning, but for me that doesn't take away any of the enjoyment. I watch these to make me smile NOT for major thinking things. On a happy note - I just learned that Hallmark will have their new Christmas movies available on Peacock for 3 says after they air so I am VERY excited about that lol. The pineapple codeword for this article is Veil.

He is also the co-runner of several fan based groups including Morningstars (THE Lucifer fan group also run by Melanie), and now is a member of the VIPers Spotlight Lounge team for Melanie's Muses. Other than "In The Spotlight" Features -check out his "31 Days Of Halloween Movies"1987 brought a new contender for the horror heavyweight title. Clive Barker had written the novel, “The Hellbound Heart” which was adapted into the feature film “Hellraiser”. The film brought a new horror icon to the silver screen, Pinhead. The film brought a more raw, brutality with it. This wasn’t just a slasher flick like Freddy or Jason, the cenobites latched their chains to their victims and dug deep into the flesh, ripping it apart. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. These Hellbound creatures are out for blood and they don’t care whose it is. Doug Bradley stepped into the iconic role of Pinhead 8 times before some disastrous low budget films recast him in the outings I hadn’t bothered to watch. They looked terrible. However, Hulu has tried to rid the tarnish of these mistakes with the new movie “Hellraiser”. I’d say it was more of a reboot than a remake. The storyline doesn’t resemble the first movie to call it an actual remake. And there isn’t a reference to any previous events to call it a continuation. The best I do is call it a reboot, reintroducing the character of Pinhead with a much better choice in Jamie Clayton, who you may have previously seen in the Netflix series “Sense8”. She takes the role and embodies it and has even received praise for it from Doug Bradley himself. In a world where there is so much hate and distain for remakes, especially from the original stars, when the original defends and praises the new keeper of the role, take a step up and listen. Melanie - Ooooh I remember when this came out. It was new, and different, in a time when so many of the horror movies were either slashers, or erring on the super cheesy side. As Dave said, the victims here were literally tortured by Pinhead and his team of cenobites, but perhaps the most interesting part was that the victims, for the most part, had a hand in choosing their fate. They were looking for an adventure to the darkside, and well, they got a lot more than they bargained for. Obviously they had to throw in some innocent blood for good measure, but it definitely had a different feel in a genre that had become quite saturated. I watched the first 2, I think I may have watched the third but I don't really remember it. I will say the remake is on my watch list - to be watched - at some point ...... just not sure when! About The Book
When Detective Drest Bright meets his newest charge, sparks literally fly. There is no denying the instant attraction he feels for Rachael Frankenstein. But she’s off-limits, and he knows as much. Her family has been a thorn in the side of the Nightshade Fae Hunters for over a hundred years, and they aren’t about to let him run off into the sunset with her without a fight. But if it’s a fight they want, it’s a fight they’ll get because this lovestruck Fae will do anything he can to be with his mate again. Check out Mandy's answers to some FAQ!
Q: Can you tell us a little about your newest release, Thunder with a Chance of Lovestruck?
A: I’d love to! Thank you for asking! Thunder with a Chance of Lovestruck is the fifth book in my Grimm Cove series. It follows the nearly forty-year love affair of Detective Drest Bright and Rachael Frankenstein. Q: Frankenstein? Like Mary Shelley’s classic tale? A: Yes! Exactly like that! I took inspiration from Shelley’s work because I have a deep love for her novel. Rachael is a descendant of Dr. Victor Frankenstein. In my books, the Frankenstein family has been under the watchful eye of the Nightshade Fae Clan. They’re known for policing supernaturals. They imposed sanctions on the Frankenstein family after Victor created a monster and brought it to life. The Nightshade Fae strictly prohibit any kind of romantic relationship between their Hunters and their chargers. Since Drest is Rachael’s assigned Hunter, no hanky-panky is allowed between them. Spoiler alert: there is totally hanky-panky between them. Q: What part of the book was the most fun to write? A: I loved getting to write scenes with the villain. I’ll often go back in when the book is at the halfway point to make a villain even more wicked. It’s also fun to write scenes that include characters from previous books in the series world. I like to do updates about them this way. Q: How much research did you need to do for your book? A: There was a ton of research that went into it, but I love doing research, so I don’t mind. If anyone is interested, I have the sources I used listed on my website in a blog post. Q: Why did the book order change for the Grimm Cove series? A: Originally, Willa and Jonathan Harker’s story was going to come after Starry with a Chance of Nightshade (book four), but that book took on a life of its own. By the time it was finished, it was painfully clear to me that Drest and Rachael needed to have their story told before Willa and Jonathan. Q: Are Will and Jonathan still getting a story? A: For sure! It’s titled Wind with a Chance of Wolfsbane, and I’m hoping to release it very soon.

Jennifer is now a proud member of the VIPers - the Melanie's Muses Spotlight Feature Team!Musers, do you want to play a game? Usually when you hear that you think -- oh yes please, especially if you’re a muser but this game with this movie is one I’m sure no one would like to play. Kind of like the movie "Escape Room", but not talking about that, instead this article is about the movies of "Saw". Eight movies then one reboot which I still haven’t seen. The first one I saw with Chris on Halloween, actually that was tradition for a while because it felt like they had a new "Saw" movie come out each year. But then they just got repetitive especially after Jigsaw was no longer there. Well I’m sure you’ve seen these movies but if not basically guy takes people who are taking there lives for granted and puts them in horrifying situations that could possibly kill them if they don’t win the game. The first movie had a twist I honestly didn’t see coming but the others I figured out with no problem, and yes you eventually find out who Jigsaw is and why’s he’s doing what he’s doing. Does he get caught, well not exactly but that’s all I’ll say, so if you haven’t seen these movies then I suggest you do. Hey, if I like a scary thriller and I usually hate them, it can’t be all bad. Right? Dave - Dave Christy loves horror, music, documentaries and more. He is also the co-runner of several fan based groups including Morningstars (THE Lucifer fan group also run by Melanie), and now is a member of the VIPers Spotlight Lounge team for Melanie's Muses. Other than "In The Spotlight" Features -check out his "31 Days Of Halloween Movies"A movie studio with a plan. Release a horror movie every year around Halloween. It was working well and then the first "Saw" movie happened. It was a surprise hit so then for the next 6 years that followed, it was a new "Saw" movie for a total of 7 films in the original run. A couple things that separate "Saw" movies from the typical horror film. 1. The layers. I was late to the game watching these. I didn't start until after the 4th one. I thought it was just people getting tortured and was not interested. But as my niece was watching the first one I saw more pieces of the story. A police investigation, layers unwrapped as we get deeper in the series, the twists. Yes, the twists! I love a good twist. After the first one, you come to expect it. But they could come in ways you don't expect. 2. Jigsaw. He doesn't actually kill. He wants people to figure a way out. Yes he puts them in that situation but these aren't aren't exactly nice, innocent people anyway. For example, one trap has several people in it and they end up sacrificing each other along the way. Not very nice. At the end, the survivor realizes, they were all supposed to work together. A little late for that, honey. Jigsaw isn't like Freddy or Jason. Nothing supernatural about him. No impossible return from the dead. When he dies, he's dead. He has helpers though. 3. Fun fact-- "Saw II" wasn't originally another installment. Darren Lynn Bousman had a script for a movie he wrote "The Desperate" that found its way into the right hands. The original "Saw" writers weren't able to deliver a sequel so this script was adapted and a few changes were made to make into a "Saw" movie. After a 7 year hiatus, the "Saw" franchise returned with "Jigsaw" in 2017 playing into the familiar traps and twists we were used to. And 4 years later, in 2021 the Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson led "Spiral: From the Book of Saw" was released. At first I wasn't sure what to think. But they kept the heart of the movies and continued the story with someone copying Jigsaw's style. Melanie - I have to say I am not a lover of this Franchise .... I watched the first movie, and the most recent Spiral but they are not for me. Pineapple code word for this article is Jigsaw Trailers for the original movie - and for Spiral
