Day 6 - Blood Night: Legend of Mary Hatchet (2009)
Dave Says -
Danielle Harris. Terror in a small town on the anniversary of axe murderer's Mary Hatchet's death. Is she back from the grave to cause more mayhem? Melanie Says - Another one that looks good! Not streaming though so it might get bumped a little for me. Love these little gems! Let us know what you think in the comments - Stream it or Skip it?

Day 5 - Chain Letter (2009)
Dave Says -
Nikki Reed. Break the chain, lose a life. They are tracking you and watching you. They know if you pass it on and if you don’t do what it says, you die. Melanie Says - Oooh this would be another new one for me! I do love Nikki Reed though so might have to check it out. I love chain letter things. Makes me think of the Bloody Mary Cursed Email now though from What We Do In The Shadows! Let us know what you think in the comments - Stream it or Skip it?

Day 4 - The Caller (2011)
Dave Says -
Stephen Moyer and Rachelle Lefevre star in this one. What do you do when you receive phone calls from the past? A mysterious caller becomes violent and threatening Lefevre's present life when she doesn’t get her way. Melanie Says - I don't remember hearing about this but I do love Racelle Lefevre. Maybe I'll check it out (although Stephen Moyer is a meh from me lol) Let us know what you think in the comments - Stream it or Skip it?

Day 3 - Slay Belles (2018)
Dave Says -
Slay Belles (2018) I know this is Halloween style list but Christmas horror movies are fun and this is no exception! Another yearly tradition for me every December. Three cosplaying YouTubers are teaming up with Santa (BARRY BOSTWICK!!!!!) to defeat Krampus! I cannot say enough good things about this movie! From the time I first heard about it, I was excited for it and there were delays with the release. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever get to see it, but I took a chance on it as soon as it became available and didn’t regret it. Some great bonus features for the blu-ray buyers too! Melanie Says - I have never heard of this but I am ALL about the cheesey horror, and cosplaying YouTubers plus Barry Bostwick? I am all in! I am adding this to my list! Day 2 - Trick 'r 'Treat (2007)
Dave Says -
Trick 'r Treat (2007) Anthology movie with interwoven stories. Pay attention to the background in certain scenes. You can see characters from other stories walking past. It’s become a traditional Halloween viewing every year for me. One small disappointment is a few of the deleted scenes should have been left in the movie. Melanie Says - I love this anthology movie and am very excited to see it make the list! For me it is a very overlooked film, and Sam is just so cute. I did notice in Spirit Halloween this year that they had a LOT of Trick 'R' Treat merchandise so maybe other people are finally realizing what a cult classic this SHOULD be! Day 1 - Cabin in the Woods (2011)
Dave Says -
Joss Whedon penned this with Drew Goddard. Excellent blend of horror and humor, playing on the common horror tropes. Fangoria had an end of year poll asking for the best horror movie and a lot of people were naming this flick. They also asked what the worst horror movie was and a lot of people were naming this movie. It’s definitely middle of the road for some. You either get it or you don’t. And I think some people didn’t get it. The reasons some gave for not liking it was the trailer didn’t show what the movie was really. Do these people understand what a twist is? You can’t have everything spelled out for you and served on a silver platter, a silver splatter, if you will. I was discussing the movie with star Amy Acker at Keystone Comic Con and actually mentioned something she hadn’t heard. Joss said he wanted the beginning of the movie to make people wonder if they went into the correct theater, and that’s exactly what I did. But then I saw Amy on screen, I knew I was in the right one. Melanie Says - I think I saw this one. I do love a Joss Whedon Twist! Thumbs up from me! Let us know what you think in the comments - Stream it or Skip it?
